Here’s your chance to have a say in the content we produce here at Tuts+. Use this page to suggest a learning topic, and vote up any other topics you’d like us to cover. We’ll keep an eye on this list and try to bring to life the topics you’d most like to learn about!

I'd like to do a course or tutorial on...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  3. Web Design Workflow

From Initial Client Approach to Completion. Not necessarily a in-depth look at the coding, but the steps involved that help you complete projects in a timely manner. So you can avoid taking on a project that will last 4 months, when it should only take 4 weeks. When to get paid, when to approach clients to sign off, etc.

  4. Research, planning, etc. before the design and development part

Less of the technical bits of UI/UX design, and more the human parts that precede it. How to run a kickoff meeting, user research, how to do card sorting, information architecture, user profiles, element collages and wireframes. All that stuff.

  8. Advanced WordPress Theme Development: Scratch to Themeforest

This course may be the first complete advanced WordPress theme development course on the web covering all features of WordPress (multi-purpose theme development). Obviously, this course will be a huge course, so it can be fragmented into some parts.

    1. Designing a WordPress theme in Photoshop (multi-purpose theme).
    2. Converting this PSD theme into HTML theme.
    3. HTML theme to full functional WordPress theme.
    4. Preparing the multi-purpose WordPress theme for Themeforest.

  10. Sass: Beyond the Basics

Having covered entry-level Sass (sometimes with Compass) a couple of times, this course would bring intermediate level Sass techniques to Tuts+.

  11. CSS masking, clipping, filters, etc...

    Hi,

what about doing some coffee break courses on a few webdesign topics.
I really like the format of this short courses.
    Some ideas are

    - css masking / clipping
    - css filters
    - css blend modes
    - some advanced css animation
    - etc...

Every topic could be treated in a video with a real world example.
What do you think about it?

    Cheers,
    Norman
