  3. Developing wordpress themes with page builder functionality

    Hi,

I think a course covering wordpress theme development with page builder functionality would be cool. It could cover some basic widgets for displaying text and some more advanced stuff like building widgets for the sitebuilder with text, images, image galleries, ....

What do you think about this?

    Thanks!

  8. Wordpress

Tuts plus has some very good videos such as google map integration.

I have some advice for wordpress if you can create those videos that will set tuts plus apart from many other competitors such as: udemy. Here I go -

A wordpress video course teaching how to to integrate Paypal API both in sandbox mode and live mode + backend statistics to fetch transaction details.
    Same like above for stripe
A dedicated video teaching sanitization in wordpress - https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202822450-WordPress-Theme-Submission-Requirements

The WordPress theme should make use of the following inbuilt functions to validate or sanitize content on input or escape…

  12. Ruby on Rails - Best Practises

I think it would be nice to watch a trainning course with Rails Best Practises, covering things like query optimization, coding without beaking the MVC, DO's and DON'Ts in general, or even how to extend properly a gem (if there's such a thing doable with Rails) etc

  15. javascript MVC

There are an ocean of javascript MVC frameworks available like backbone and ember. It would be awesome to learn how these frameworks has been built.

Could you please add a tutorial on building a javascript mvc framework from scratch and creating a real world project using it.

    Thanks and BR;

This is an interesting idea for a course. We’ve got some coffee break courses in production that will provide a case study of a real-world project to implement a new full-stack JavaScript framework. The instructor will talk about the project challenges and goals, as well as about the technical details of the implementation. I’ll update this thread when it launches. ^ Adam

  16. ruby on rails

Could you make a training course using Ruby on Rails, that will cover with some simple examples things like
    - use of SASS and coffeescript,
    - file uploading,
    - testing the code,
    - and talk a little bit more thorough about REST and RESTful routes and links

  17. Update Hands on Angular course using devise_token_auth and ng-token-auth

Devise has no longer support for token authentication,
so i think it's a nice idea to update this course using this two options.

    Devise_token_auth for Rails
    ng-token-auth for Angular

  18. Modern vanilla PHP from 5.0 to 7

PHP evolved with version 5 and most courses generally cover PHP up to 5.3 with namespaces, autloading with composer, PDO and so on.
I believe the reason is mainly because frameworks targetted the minimal version of PHP to work with (5.3).
Unfortunately a lot of features are unknown to most PHP users like filters, JSON, Garbage collection, closures, generators, variadic functions, spaceship operator (<=>), the right use of traits, late static binding, return types, type hinting, native autoloading, CLI, etc.
I would like a course that organizes PHP features by version a "PHP changelog" course from 5.0 to 7
